The board seems pretty much abandoned compared to when I was a member here about 6 years ago. However, I want to answer this question, so here it is:

In the situation of an unexpected, turn the corner and there's a taelon situation:

A.) I'd probably make some unintellible sound of shock, probably something like a teakettle. Then probably gulp at the glare of their protector. And then probably blush at the look of "WTF?" on the taelon's face. And then probably faint.

B.) Yelp in surprise of turning the corner and seeing an alien standing there. Stare for a half minute. Suddenly hear the protector's clearing of his throat (boone) or rude order to move on (sandoval). Nod, stepping aside, say, "Hi." And torture myself for next three days about how I could possibly come face-to-face with a Companion and say, "Hi."

C.) Turn the corner into the alley to find Boone trying to hide Da'an behind a dumpster while Da'an looks like he's trying not to be offended by his favorite protector trying to hide him behind the dumpster. "Boone, what are you still doing here! That mob is out for Da'an's skin and coming this way. I signed up to work back-up. I didn't sign up for a public execution. I hope you have one of those just-in-the-nick-of-time escape plans handy, because otherwise, you're screwed."

"And you'll be?" says Boone

"I'll be running."

"Glad to see you still have that hero mentality even in a pinch."

"Hey, I'd die for the Liberation. I'm not dying for some Taelon. Not even Da'an."

Da'an somehow manages to appear morally superior even half-hidden behind a dumpster in a dark alley. "I understand your position, Miss Denial, and thank you for services lended."

"Aww . . . d@mn it, why do you have to say stuff like that?"

Boone smirks, "So you're staying?"

"Don't rub it in."

"Alright, so here's the plan. . ."

*Fifteen minutes later*

I walk out into the middle of the street, gulp at the sight of the angry mob. Start doing a very flamboyant and expressive dance. The mob slows down in shock.

Mutters to self, "Real classy plan, Boone . . . HEEEEEEEY MACARANA!"
